Testing and Quality

Testing is generally done to BS-EN standards. In some cases testing has been carried out both to BS-EN (British/European) standards and ASTM (North American) standards due to worldwide demand for some of our products.
Testing has become and is becoming a far easier tool to use for quality control due to homogenization of European testing procedures. It is Stohn’s intention to aid the various organisations involved to bring greater clarity to the stone industry.

Testing can also be carried out on a project by project basis depending on the client's needs.

BS 8298: 1994 The Design and Installation of Natural Stone Cladding and Lining should be referred to. This publication has been under revision reflecting the changing methods and technologies now in use and should now be available.
